Steven Spielberg’s Favorite Movie: His insights about Schindler’s List and his legacy
Steven Spielberg is known for his successful films such as Jaws and Raiders of the Lost Ark among others. However, there is one movie that Spielberg considers the best and that is Schindler’s List.
On the 30th anniversary of the Oscar win, Spielberg opened up during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter:
“I think this is the best movie I’ve made. For one, I wouldn’t claim that it’s the one film I would ever create, but yes, it’s the one that today’s makes me satisfied the most.”
The movie moved many people and has importance even today
His 1993 film about Oskar Schindler, who attempted to save more than 1,000 Jews during the Holocaust, is one of the most heart-wrenching films in history. In a statement, Spielberg went on to pay kudos to Jonathan Glazer’s The Zone of Interest, saying that it is:
“Ever since I made mine it is the finest film on the Holocaust I have viewed. It achieves so much in terms of raising consciousness specifically regarding the daily harmless evil.”
